It was in 2014 that the Bee Friendly Association created the BEE FRIENDLY Label, inaugurated by Stéphane Le Foll at the International Agricultural Show that same year. It helps support, encourage and finally promote farmers who are concerned about protecting pollinators.
BEE FRIENDLY® is the label for farmers committed to protecting pollinators.
Each standard establishes a list of elimination practices and good practices corresponding to the successive stages of a progress approach, spread over 7 themes. To obtain the label on its production, a producer must respect all the elimination points and obtain a minimum of points on good practices. Each standard was developed thanks to the meeting of an agricultural structure wishing to develop the label on its sector. A black list, designed by experts in ecotoxicology, is associated with the reference documents. It lists the molecules most toxic to pollinators, which are completely prohibited from use.
They are based on 3 pillars: biodiversity, phytosanitary practices, beekeeper-farmer link.
Since 2019, with the help of our beekeeping partner Mickaël Préteseille, we have installed 10 hives on the estate.
Since the apiary has doubled, and in this drive to create biodiversity we joined the BEEFRIENDLY label in 2022.
Through respectful management and sustainable practices, we ensure their well-being throughout the year. We limit the use of phytosanitary products, promote honey-producing plantations and maintain preserved natural spaces to encourage local biodiversity.
Our commitment is not limited to bees: It is part of a broader approach to respecting nature and promoting a balanced ecosystem. By supporting the life of pollinators, we participate in the preservation of the surrounding fauna and flora, thus contributing to a more sustainable future.
We are proud to share this adventure with you and to help you discover the fruits of the bees' work through our honey, a true testament to the richness and diversity of our environment.
Together, let's continue to protect nature and enhance our natural heritage!
